Technology review
I look at how you work and give you a prioritised plan.

Hey, I'm Sean
your technical partner.
I uncover the opportunities between your existing software, people and processes, so you get more from what you already have, with one technical partner who grows with you.
Businesses, teams and products I've worked on
Adam White Bike Fit

Not simply consulting
I've worked with complex systems and lean teams where getting things done matters more than producing another strategy document.
I understand how the business works before recommending any technology.
I uncover the connections and opportunities you may not know exist.
Practical advice combined with the ability to design, build, connect and deploy the solution.
I can remain your ongoing technical partner, so you never start from zero again.
The problem
Things that made sense five or ten years ago don't always make sense today. I help you work out what should stay, what could improve and what needs changing.
Sometimes that's
Connecting two existing systems.
Moving to a more suitable platform.
Automating a time-consuming process.
Building and deploying custom software.
Introducing AI where it genuinely helps.
And sometimes the best advice is to leave something alone.
The goal isn't more technology. It's a business that works better.
Sound familiar?
Now there is one more login and the same manual work.
It got built, they moved on, and nobody is sure how it works.
It works, for as long as the person who understands them stays.
It worked on day one. Now the business depends on it.
The answer usually isn't starting again. It's making what you already have work properly.
How it works
Pick the line that sounds most like you. We can start from there.

Monthly support from someone who knows your business.

This isn't a helpdesk, and I won't be setting up your printer. It's technical judgement and delivery for businesses that don't need an internal technology department.
Case study

He had reached the limit of what one person could physically manage. So we removed the constraints that were stopping the business from growing.
A complete rebuild of the marketing website, with custom graphics and animations, blogs and articles, and free customer-facing tools for lead generation and SEO.
A custom booking service with deposits, CRM tracking, pre-service questionnaires and post-service reports. Deposits took weekly cancellations down to almost never, and there is no more chasing forms or preparing reports by hand.
The business moved to Google Workspace, with Claude at the centre. Custom connected AI workflows link it to the booking system, so bookings, client enquiries and notes are handled from one place instead of jumping between tools.
A custom system around his work and clients. From Garmin file parsing in Rust, a web app, an API and an MCP server connecting it to the rest of the business became easy.
Things I've built
From paper to payload
Turns invoices, contracts, receipts and medical forms into structured data for the systems you already use. Documents are checked automatically, mismatches are flagged line by line, and no templates are needed.
{"supplier": "Acme Ltd","invoice": "INV-0042","total": 1250.00}
The Agent Launchpad
Agentic functions as a service. Give an agent a job and it runs in its own isolated workspace, so teams can add agentic functions to their app without a backend, isolated sandbox infrastructure, custom loops, file handling.
Summarise this quarter's invoices
Understand every ride. Plan the next one.
Training analysis and coaching for cyclists. Ride analysis, fitness and season planning, coaching, notes and reports for riders and their coaches.

Lower infrastructure costs after a migration I led
Guide Dogs for the Blind Association
Nine years leading finance systems and reporting at a large national charity, sitting between IT and finance. Finance automation with VBA and Power Platform, and paper documents scanned straight into the ERP with no retyping.
I didn't always have access to IT infrastructure, tools or privileges, so solving problems took creativity and a real understanding of the people at the other end.
01 / 05Paper to system
Scanning paper documents straight into the ERP, with no retyping.
Guide Dogs for the Blind Association
ERP integrations, SQL Server data modelling, Power BI reporting and system migrations. I can read a P&L as comfortably as a stack trace.
Oh Dear
Lead developer in a small remote team, writing the infrastructure behind billions of uptime checks.
Redwood Software
Multi-tenant SaaS, job processing and automation platforms, and high-scale observability.
Clarity Global
Took an app from proof of concept to public launch, and led AI enablement across the team in 3 months.
AI, practically
I was automating business processes long before it was cool. AI is a powerful addition to the toolkit, but the goal is still a business that works better, not more technology.
Run Orbital, an agentic execution platform. paperhook, which turns business documents into structured data. MCP servers that connect a business to its AI tools.
Took Surfacd from proof of concept to public launch: data pipelines tracking how brands appear in AI answers, with LLM usage benchmarked across the pipeline.
Led workshops, hackathons and training to help technical and non-technical teams adopt AI-assisted workflows safely.
Vibe-coded app?
AI makes it easy to build something that works on day one. Keeping it secure, reliable and easy to change once the business depends on it is a different job.
$ npm test
No tests found. Deploying straight to production.
# After the takeover
$ npm test
240 tests passing. Safe to keep building.
Who it's for
A small team doing a disproportionate amount of work. The owner needs to free up capacity, remove repetitive admin and make the operation less dependent on individual people.
Healthy revenue, years of accumulated systems and processes, and probably some significant inefficiencies. Not looking for a complete digital transformation, just sensible modernisation without disrupting what already works.
You own it
Point of view
It can feel overwhelming. Too many ideas, competitors appearing to move fast, and influencers telling you everything you're doing is wrong.
It's about figuring out what a good process looks like for you.
You don't have to buy into someone else's thought process or theory. Your processes should fit your business.
Dipping a toe in rarely gets you anywhere, and diving in head first is overwhelming. A steady, deliberate approach works, even with staff leaving and joining.
Questions
No, that's usually where it starts. Show me how your business works, and we'll work out what should stay, what could improve and what needs changing.
Usually not. Often it's about connecting what you have, introducing what makes sense and building what's missing. Sometimes the best advice is to leave something alone.
Not necessarily. I'll suggest it where it genuinely helps. The goal isn't more technology. It's a business that works better.
You might not have the work, budget or desire for an internal technology department. A technical partner gets to know your business without you having to employ them.
No. I won't be running a helpdesk or setting up your printer. I help with the technical decisions and the delivery.
A useful, concise document, not a 40-page report. It covers what currently happens, what could work better, recommended solutions, estimated costs and a sensible order to do it in.
Yes. You can begin with a review, a single project or reliable technical capability each month. It can be a small improvement or an entirely new way of working.
Your first hour is a free consultation. Reviews and projects get a fixed-price proposal tied to defined outcomes. The business modernisation sprint starts from £7,500 for two weeks. Large custom applications and complex migrations are priced separately.
Yes. I'll review it, fix what puts the business at risk and take it on from there.
I can stay involved, keeping things working, learning what can be better and tackling the next opportunity as your business grows.
